The Galileo QR-720DX is mounted on Galileo's Super Glide Altitude Azimuth mount. It's easy use up and down, left and right movement is great for beginners and casual star gazers alike. Terestrial viewing is extremely easy due to the included 45° diagonal prism which produces a totally erect image. The Super Glide mount features slow motion controls in both axis for precision adjustments. The Mount is attached to a very sturdy, fully adjustable, pre-assembled metal tripod with retractable rubber feet. The tripod also features the NEW QUICK RELEASE accessory tray with slots to place 4 1¼″ eyepieces or lenses. The optical tube assembly attaches to the mount by an adjustable tube clamp which in combination with the adjustable counter balance weight ensures easy fluid movement of the telescope at all times. Also included with the Galileo QR-720DX is a 2x Flip barlow which you can only find Galileos QR-720 . No fumbling with eyepieces and lenses, just flip a knob, and instantly double the power of your telescope. Turn the knob again to turn the barlow off and view at normal focal length. The telescopes optical tube assembly is finished out with a large 1¼″ format metal helical focus tube. Aslo included are two 1.25" eyepieces, Astroscopic 25MM & 6.8MM thru 16MM Zoom. Lastly, the Galileo Planetrarium CD rom brings skies over your home or anywhere in the world. It also has photos and voice over explaination fo the available images.
