Galileo proudly introduces the Galileo IMKT-80 Imaging Kit. The IMKT-80 is an extremely versatile instrument with many features to heighten your viewing pleasure. The 3MP camera uses a 400mm x 80mm refractor telescope as a lens for capturing high quality images at 37x power. Images can be captured in 3 modes (single, continuous, and timer released) as well as record video. The 400mm x 80mm optical tube assembly can also be utilized as a telescope or spotting scope using the large, high quality 25mm Astroscopic eyepiece and 45° erect image prism. It is also outfitted with a massive 2" heavy duty metal helical rack and pinion focuser for extreme light transmission and smooth focusing. Images are kept steady by the extremely stable metal table top tripod which has slow motion controls for micro adjustments. Additionally, the Mars-Eye finderscope provides quick easy sighting of targets.
All components and accessories are stored away in the included rugged yet stylish aluminum case with soft foam padding to protect your valuable instrument.
The IMKT-80 includes a 400mm focal length optical tube assembly with a fully multi-coated 80mm objective lens providing clear crisp images for the bonus 3 Mega Pixel digital camera. The camera features a 1.4" color TFT viewing screen for previewing images, 1.25" barrel allowing the camera to be used in any 1.25" format telescope, SD RAM slot for memory expansion, and video out port and and video out cable for viewing a video feed from the camera on any NTSC TV monitor. Video output resolution is 320x240. The Galileo Trilogy software pack is also included featuring the Galileo Planetarium program, Instructional Telescope Videos, and Britannica “Touch the Sky, Touch the Universe”.
