Many binoculars come with a standard neck strap which is usaully a .25 to .5 inch nylon strap. These neck straps serve their purpose but can be very uncomfortable cutting into the neck causing irritation and neck fatigue. The Galileo Binocular Harness relieves all this by supporting the binocular with the back and shoulders rather than the neck. The result is the elimination of neck irratation and fatigue as well as less "swing" back and forth when walking.
